The 15th Annual Harding Cross Country Invitational will play host to some of the fastest runners in the state and the nation this Saturday at Marion Harding High School.
The field will be the largest in the event’s history, with 24 boys and 24 girls high school teams taking part. From start to finish, over 1,500 runners will be competing at Marion Harding this Saturday!
In the boys’ race, returning state champions Zach Kreft from Buckeye Valley (Division II), and Chad Johnson from Colonel Crawford (Division III) will face off. Each has posted times this season that put them in the class of top runners nationally. Kreft posted a 14:29 at last week’s Midwest Meet of Champions, and Johnson ran a 14:54 at the Colonel Crawford Early Bird Invitational earlier this season. Johnson defeated Kreft in a photo finish at last year’s Harding Invitational.
On the girls side, Buckeye Valley freshman Chloe Dawson has burst onto the scene nationally, and with a 17:26 at last week’s Midwest Meet of Champions, placed herself among the best times in the United States.
