The Freshmen Prexies came away with a conference win on Monday night over the visiting Galion Tigers.
The Presidents connected through the air to strike first. Brady Wink hit Brendan Beechum on a bomb from 45 yds out.
While spending the majority of the first half bottled up by a strong Prexy defense, the Tigers were able to manage a long TD run to close out the second quarter.
Harding came out of the locker room and marched 65 yds to score on Malachi Robinson’s TD jaunt. Robinson also racked on the two pointer.
The Presidents defense held firm led by Mike Bush, William Abrams and Robinson.
HHS tacked on another score early in the fourth when Kyrie Scott busted in from one yard out. Scott added the two point try to make it 22-6. A late Galion score made it interesting, but a big first down on the ensuing drive afforded the Prexies the chance to salt the game away.
Harding moves to 4-3 on the season and 4-0 at home.
The Frosh take the field again next Thursday in West Jefferson.
